Mormons and Muslims

Mormons and Muslims: good friends. Who knew? According to the LA Times, Mormons and Muslims in the US have several things in common, and ties between the two religions are growing. They both have bans on alcohol, have encountered hostility as outsiders in the US, and revere the Old Testament. I'm not a fan of some of the practices in each, particularly the tendency towards patriarchy, but overall, this sounds like a good thing for increased religious tolerance in this country.
