The Village People are now officially cool for all time: they have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Many years ago, a friend of mine booked the Village People for a party at the University of Virginia, while he was a student there. This was long before they became hip.
So Ian, this one's for you.

We weren't the ones who booked them. We just created a publishing firm called "Disco Beat Publishing." Because we were blatantly commercial and blatantly silly.
Ah, the details are mostly lost to history. The important thing is that you have some tangential relationship to the Village People way back before they became hip again.
